The festive frolics continue, this time with Takeshi and the Kid’s paean to the season.
Electro maestro Takeshi and the Kid returns, with a festive flavour and a rawer production ethos, for new EP An Austrian Christmas.
Just off a 2011 of tremendous artistic growth, with the longtime project finally bearing a record in April (Marble Phantasm), composer/sole stable member Leigh Walsh has been busying herself recently with the EP after extensive live sojourns, including Drop-d and UCC Live Music Society.
A festive feel prevails and the usual attention to minute detail in the songs’ composition and recording resonates through the EP, and is a fine close to a year that helped put the Kid on the map, and a look at what’s to come.
