New gig concern kicks off in the Crane next Sunday with a free gig and a fire act. Yes, lads.
New music promotions company Robbery hosts its debut show on Sunday November 6th at the Crane Lane Theatre.
The early show (kickoff at 9) features Agitate the Gravel, continuing on their resumed rout of Cork venues after a break for the beginning of the college year and Time is a Thief, whose new material, premiered last Saturday night at I’ll Eat Your Face‘s album launch, packs a harder edge that owes more to post-hardcore than pop, yet maintains a more accessible edge that may well become their calling card. This oughta be a good one.
There’ll also be a fire show of some sort outside the GPO to lure you in. Fact.
On a personal note from the writer, we here at the D would like to wish Robbery and associates the very best of luck. Promotions is a hard game, and is no end of heartbreak and stress, but on a good night, more than justifies the work. And right now, Cork needs more new blood going to bat for its music. All the best, dudes.
