This has been one of the biggest tracks in my sets this year, and it finally gets a full release this week on the MAD DECENT label. When Diplo is not staring in adverts for Blackberry or hanging out with Hollywood’s royalty he still has it in him to produce monster tracks like this that refuse to be pigeon holed by genres. Out early July on the 2DIY4 label, it samples the classic ‘Suicidal Thoughts’ from the Notorious B.I.G. With big room house music in general being in a sickening state and continuing to be murdered by the likes of the Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, Paris Hilton and friends, its nice to find a rare gem amongst the shit. Amine Edge keeps it simple and building up the elements into a (..ahem)’ hands in the air’ anthem, reminding us of how good house music is capable of making us feel.
