ROCKY VOTOLATO

Rocky Votolato has announced an Irish date this October Upstairs at Whelans on Sunday 5th. Tickets priced "15 inclusive of booking fee are on sale now at all usual Ticketmaster outlets.

Texas born Votolato formed Waxwing" an acclaimed punk rock band" in 1996. Common to any prolific and diverse songwriter" Rocky discovered that his writing began moving into new territories " some of which proved too delicate for his more bombastic efforts with Waxwing.

Last year Rocky Votolato released his fifth solo studio album The Bragg and Cuss on Barsuk records which marked a major turning point in Votolatos career. With the success of his last Barsuk release" makers" he was able to quit his day job and focus on playing and touring full time. The Brag and Cuss moves from the minimal acoustic guitar and vocals of makers to a fuller sound.
