The Citadels are back and playing their first full show in Cork City in
almost 9 months in An Cruiscin Lan Thursday April 28th. Support on the
night will be the established performer Jon Leahy and up and coming
singer"songwriter Alan Murphy. Since The Citadels last played in Cork
they have been busy playing London" Dublin and Edinburgh. Cormac has
been popping up here and there doing some solo slots. Most recently he
has opened for Declan O Rourke at the Everyman and Mark Geary in the
Sky Bar. The band has been keeping themselves busy recording and
learning new material. The gig will comprise of some new songs" songs
from forthcoming releases and numbers from their well"received "Letting
Go Holding" cd.

"Letting go" holding on" showed the diversity of musical
talent on offer. It received airplay on all Irish radio stations
including 2fm" today fm and Cork"s own redfm and 96fm and further a
field on BBC6 and US internet radio stations. The new recordings are
sounding even better and will be unleashed shortly.

Cormac O" Caoimh"s passionate powerful lyrics and vocals
resonate with Eoghan "Reggie" Regan"s blues inspired jazz riffs on
electric guitar. Arthur O"Leary adds a touch of blues rock in the piano
and Aoife Regan"s inspired vocals will lift even the most jaded among
you to a high and soulful place.

The band has been picking up praise from all quarters. Tom Robinson
"BBC 6" and Ron Sexsmith have been quick to praise the album and the
song"writing skills of Cormac O" Caoimh.

"Some great Irish music at the moment with Damien Rice and Dempsey"

debut from THE CITADELS" where the fresh confident song writing of
front man Cormac O Caoimh suggests a promising future for the band."
