Kaderfire’s instrumental style
which has been gaining popularity during the last year takes inspiration
from The Redneck Manifesto” Tool and perhaps one day other band
will list Kaderfire as their influence.
In such a small venue as the White Rooms it would have been very
easy for a loud band to create a big wall noise” but” making the
most of the venue we heard a sonicly diverse set of tracks thah
are both technically sound and thouroughly rocking.
Confident and varied drums provided the backing for Barry Mulligan
on Bass to pump out some fast driving basslines” none of this one note
stuff here. It’s always nice to see bass players getting out in front
and really rock. So many times we get stuck in a corner to pluck out
a few notes and smoke “although we can’t even do that anymore “.
Over the powerful rhythm section you have Kevin and Pat providing some
dynamic riffs and each showing their talent as the harmony and diversity
of their playing provided a sound worthy of jump off a tiny stage “Pat”.
The lads powered through the
tracks with the confidence that showed their hard work had paid
off and created a sound that” while individual” was reminiscient
of the bands listed above. This instrumental sound that has been
gaining populartiy over the last year or so just proves that if
the music is good enough and sufficiently varied then you just
don’t need vocals. This means that when you introduce Pat’s vocals
into a couple of the songs you can get that extra punch needed
without having the focus entirely on the vocals like most of the
music today.
I had a chat to the lads outside just to get their thoughts on the
gig. A bit unhappy with their sound in such a small venue but otherwise
a success” I think they would have liked to turn up a bit more and really
tear down the place. They are truly dedicated to their craft and I would
not hesitate to buy their CD if I saw it instore for that matter after
the gig you couldnt buy one of their CD’s if you wanted to” everyone
wanted one” and rightly so.
and you will not be disappointed” a truly energetic and diverse
sound that will pick you up from your point and shake you until
you submit to the sounds.
