New York based MGMT have confirmed their debut Irish show at Whelans" Dublin on Saturday 8 March. Tickets priced 16.00euro inclusive of booking fee are available now from all usual Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
MGMT "pronounced Management" are duo Ben Goldwasser and Andrew Van Wyngarden. They formed the band while in college and following their graduation in 2005 set out to tour extensively in support of their EP Time to Pretend opening for indie"rock band" Of Montreal.
In 2006 they signed to Sony/Columbia Records and went into studio with music producer Dave Fridmann "Mercury Rev" The Flaming Lips" Clap Your Hands Say Yeah" to record their major label debut" Oracular Spectacular.
MGMT spent the rest of the year back out touring with Of Montreal and also the Fiery Furnaces

Oracular Spectacular is due for release in January.
