The Hard Working Class Heroes epidemic draws ever closer with a schedule of
nearly 100 bands gearing up to rock Ireland"s capital on 6 stages in 5
venues right through 13th" 14th and 15th October 2006.
With a record number of entrants to this years festival all successful
bands have been selected by a panel of media and industry judges ensuring
only the finest acts will be treading the boards at this year"s festival.
And as if the music itself isn"t enough" the weekend will be peppered with
other music oriented events from photography exhibitions to industry panels
and mentor sessions.
Now in its fourth year" The Hard Working Class Heroes festival "this year in
association with sponsors Bud Rising" has become the Irish independent music
industry's most telling barometer. It is the best way to spot emerging acts
as well as an opportunity for new and emerging Irish talent to access an
audience that is not normally available to them at an early point in their
career. Plus HWCH is Ireland's only festival dedicated to Irish bands.

MUSIC:
Hard Working Class Heroes offers the fullest possible spectrum of Irish
talent courtesy of nearly 100 bands from every part of the country. In
addition this year a Canadian Invasion offers a choice of imports across
the festival schedule to spice things up and offer a true international feel
to the event.

INDUSTRY:
Hard Working Class Heroes offers a comprehensive insight into the industry
with a series of panel discussions as well as one on one mentor sessions
during the 3 days of the festival. Aimed at all levels these offer a perfect
introduction to the industry as well as a chance to hone intermediate and
advanced understandings of the innermost workings of the music business.

MUSIC:
This year" continuing a spirit of co"operation as well as platforming
international talent" the Festival organizers have invited their Canadian
counterparts to select their best new talent to appear at the Irish
festival.

PHOTOGRAPHY:
9 music photographers from Ireland and further afield will be exhibiting
their work in Filmbase from 12 October for the duration of the festival.

MUSIC:
This year sees the festival introduce a Download Chart featuring all of the
participating artists with the general publics hits generating a chart
