An alternative Rock N Roll outfit, officially formed in Cork Ireland in the spring of 2004, 8Ball are:

Brian O’Connell – Vox

Dave Aitken – Guitars/Vox

Allan Butler – Guitars

Ben Donnelly – Bass

Kieran Mannix – Drums

8Ball come packed with distinctive musical backgrounds, each member contributing their own personal style, taking you on a musical journey, filled with passion, truth and expression.

From a different perspective to normal bands, 8Ball have spent the last year coming up with original material” fine tuning it, recording and developing an individual sound.

Although together for so long, they are only coming up to their third gig, not happy with the usual “let’s do a few Metallica, U2 and REM songs and earn some cash” approach to gigging, the lads have waited some time to get it right.

In November, 8Ball hit the studio to work on their new album, a very confident approach as, as yet their music is untested on the general musical audience.

This is a sign of sheer determination and direction/focus missing in so many bands of today’s times.

Drop-D looks forward to its complimentary copy of this album to review, when it’s released in summer 2005.

So this is a short profile but it’s just an intro.
