They have already received critical acclaim and in the run up to the launch of their debut album. The band played on The Late Late Show, a fantastic accomplishment for an unsigned band.
They performed their follow up single on The Eleventh Hour with Dave Fanning, which was broadcast in May 2010 on RTE television and have been played on FM 104’s Strawberry Alarmclock, Ryan Tubridy Today and Today With Pat Kenny on RTE Radio 1 and Newstalk’s Weekend Blend.
The band draw on a number of influences which is evident in their songs. There’s a wonderful blend of songs on the album. It has some very sweet and melancholy songs like Sunny Side Street and Frost and some really catchy songs like Long May You Reign with its almost bluegrass guitar melody.
Dinosaur is a perfect album for summer (if summer comes back). It’s very dreamy and mellow and feels absolutely effortlessly charming. Every song on the album feels as if it was lovingly written and produced to absolute perfection.
The only criticism I can think of for the album is that there aren’t enough songs on it.
The band’s new single Killer is out on May 28th.
They also have a number of upcoming gigs.
