Well, if this gig isn’t going to be concentrated awesome juice in a rocket-powered can, I dunno what is, really. Hope is Noise, I’ll Eat Your Face, sharing the bill, at a free gig, on a Friday night. It’s good to be alive.

On a sad note, though, it’ll be goodbye to the venue’s booker, Darragh McGrath, who has, over the past three years, brought any number of truly amazing bands and artists to Cork from all over the world, and has been a major part of making it one of the best venues in the country, bar none.

Marking the end of a three year run of weekly gigs in the Quad, GoodCop BadCop brings together alt rockers Hope Is Noise and supergrindcorians I’ll Eat Your Face for one last night of noisy rock!

Both bands have been a staple of the Irish music scene for years by distinguishing themselves as bands willing to push their sound forward and not conforming to genre limitations. Sharing a DIY spirit, over the years they have released a steady stream of EPs, splits and full-length albums to critical acclaim all the while gaining a reputation for an enthusiastic live show known for it’s spontanaity, intensity and sheer, unbridled volume.
