If anyone has had a breakout year in 2011, it’s been Michael Owens, the doom-folk troubadour known as Owensie.
His trademark downbeat acoustic explorations have won him a loyal audience, and critical acclaim for his album Aliens, as well as the remix series I Saw The Flashing Lights. At the peak of the mania last year, Olivia Chau of Flip-It TV spoke with Owensie, at Out on a Limb’s Summer Party at Dolan’s.
