Ef Announce New Album “Mourning Golden Mourning”
Swedish post-rockers release new album through Shelsmusic April 7th
Swedish post-rockers Ef have announced the release of their new album, Mourning Golden Mourning, on Shelsmusic on April 7th.
Here’s the blurb:
It’s been an incredible journey for Swedish post-rockers Ef. Since forming in 2003 the young 5-piece have firmly established themselves as a pioneering voice in the global post-rock community – and with two critically acclaimed albums and an EP already under their wings, along with a reputation for breathtaking live shows, Ef is set to release its most monumental album yet.
Produced at Music-A-Matic studios in Sweden by Magnus Lindberg of Cult of Luna, “Mourning Golden Morning”showcases Ef’s awesome presence like never before. Weaving together strings, brass, guitars, percussion and vocals with heartfelt delicacy, the band delivers inspirational passages, performed and recorded live. The result is a glorious album that captures the essence of Ef and sends the listener on an unforgettable emotional journey.
“Mourning Golden Morning” will be released on April 5, 2010 in the UK through Shelsmusic. It will be supported with a full European tour, which will include dates in the UK in April and May.
The bands says:
“We don’t want to put too many thoughts in your head by explaining the music too much. We’d prefer to let you listen for yourself. “Mourning golden morning” is the result of a few friends, a few years older than last time, trying to tell some epic stories with as few words as possible, using sound instead to explore and release emotions. We feel this album is more focused and true to ourselves than anything we’ve ever done. We hope you enjoy it!”
