MONDAY – 21st November

UCC Capriccio Showcase: Suntrai, Rabbits Love Liquorice and Padraig Duggan – An Realt Dearg, Barrack St., Admission Free

UCC’s most eclectic society Capriccio are back with one of their monthly showcases bringing together trad, folk and alternative. The gig of a charitable nature as it comes in association with UCC’s MSF Society. Head along to support the cause!

TUESDAY – 22nd November

CIT Battle of the Bands Heat 4 – Cyprus Avenue, Caroline Street, Admission Free

CIT’s Battle of the Bands is hotting up as it reaches it’s final heat. The stage is set for the appearance of some of Cork’s best up and coming student bands for next week’s final so check it out to see who’ll be the next big thing.

WEDNESDAY – 23rd November

Time Is A Thief w/ Agitate The Gravel – An Brog, Oliver Plunkett St., Admission Free

Time Is A Thief, one of Cork’s hardest working bands, take to the legendary Brog on Wednesday night with Cork’s second hardest working band, Agitate the Gravel. Two exciting a professional bands, at a non-existent price. What more is there to say?

UCC LMS Showcase w/ Exit: Pursued By A Bear, Agitate the Gravel, and Trumpets of Jericho – Cyprus Avenue, Caroline St., Admission €3

Didn’t we say Agitate the Gravel were a hard working band? Well two shows in one night is a pretty good example of that. They hit Cyprus Avenue with Exit: Pursued By A Bear and Trumpets of Jericho on Wednesday night. Some amazing acts here so it’d be a shame to miss out.

THURSDAY – 24th November

Delorentos – Triskel Christchurch, South Main St., Admission €12/15

Having stuck things out for the last few years as other bands of their ilk have fallen by the wayside, Delorentos bring their kicking set to the beautiful setting of Triskel’s newly renovated Christchurch on Thursday evening. A really good band and a aesthetically beautiful setting, this is should be a good one.

FRIDAY – 25th November

Toy Soldier Single Launch – Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St., Admission Free

Cork’s only true pop creators Toy Soldier will launch their next gem ‘Razorblades’ in the Crane Lane Theatre on Friday night. A feature of their set for a long time now, it’ll be great to hear the song committed to wax. Check it out.

Halves – Cyprus Avenue, Caroline St., Admission Free

For those of you not partaking in Duke Special elsewhere in the Cyprus Avenue complex on Friday, you can check out the moody electronic rock of Halves for free. Ahead of a show in Dublin’s Unitarian Church, catch their unmissable show in Cyprus this weekend.

SATURDAY – 26th November

Altered Hours w/ Trumpets of Jericho - The Pavillion, Carey’s Lane, Admission Free

After the release of their most recent EP ‘Downstream’ local pop-rockers Altered Hours hit the Pav on Saturday with Trumpets of Jericho in tow. Both bands are among the most talked about acts in Cork at the moment so head along to this free show to see what all the fuss is about.
