Documentary: A Joyful Slog
Community of Independents’ DIY documentary shines a light on Irish independent music…
Highly recommended viewing for Irish DIY music fans. This documentary gives a good insight into the Irish DIY music scene over the last couple of decades. It features interviews and gig footage from the likes of Adebisi Shank, And So I Watch You From Afar, Redneck Manifesto, Wizards of Firetop Mountain and many, many more…
“This is a documentary looking at some of Ireland’s DIY bands and culture over the last 5-20 years or so. It is a Dublin Community Television production and was made by the Community Of Independents collective that works with the channel. Featuring live footage and audio of various Irish artists as well as insightful interviews with some of the people that have been involved in the growth of this scene. I don’t think it’s fair to call this a documentary about the ‘Irish’ independent music. More like Dublin and everything North thereof.
