Belfast sludgers Comply or Die have been on a right old roll lately, finishing recording on a new LP and still finding time to issue a split tape with Slomatics, right before going DIY gung-ho with new single Shanghai’d, handling press duties themselves in the process.

Drop-d is happy to report it’s a banger of a track, marrying the smart, compact riffery of Northy compatriots Therapy? with the sludge aesthetic of the Melvins, gifted with a flair for blues soloing and a readily shoutalong-able climax moving steadily all along, underwritten with authority by a fucking titanic rhythm section and tight, tight performance.

And this new LP can’t be soon enough in coming out, if this is anything to go by. The cassette with Slomatics is still doing the rounds, so go get your teeth into it over at their Bandcamp. Our review will be along shortly.
