Live jazz channeling the greats at the Roundy.

The Roundy’s monthly homage to the legendary Blue Note jazz label returns next Wednesday, with some of Cork’s best and brightest along for the evening’s events. :-)

Officially welcoming back Cormac McCarthy (piano) back to Cork and officially saying goodbye (for now) to Emil Nerstrand (Tenor Sax) before he heads back to Sweden. With Neil O’Loghlen-Bass and Dan Walsh-Drums.

Blue Note at the Roundy is a monthly live event which celebrates the legacy of the great Blue Note record label which was so influential to recorded jazz throughout the 50′s and 60′s. The event features tunes handpicked from classic blue note albums originally recorded by the likes of John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Lee Morgan, Herbie Hancock and Horace Silver as well as associated repertoire, original compositions and some contemporary surprises.

See you there!
